Life Guard: Life guards are also in a great demand in camps, as most of the summer camps do include swimming activities. However you need to have a life guard certificate for this job profile, mere knowledge of swimming won’t help. If you already know swimming, you can pass the required levels and get a lifeguard certificate in a few months. Besides life guards, swimming instructors are also required by summer camps, these instructors work under life guards, which is why they get paid less than them. If you do not have to acquire a life guard certificate, you can work as a swimming instructor instead.

Instructors: Camps are a place to learn something new, actually that is one of the major reasons why kids are enrolled in summer camps. There are loads of activities like drawing, painting, mimicry, craft making, pottery, river rafting, bird watching etc. Most of the camp organizers are not able to hire experienced teachers for these summer activities, so they are in search of teenagers who can teach.
